LENA'S TWO-WEEK UPDATE

Weight: 7lbs 7oz (25%)
Length: 19.5in (25%)
Head: 14in (50%)

After an exciting entrance to the world, it’s been a relatively quiet first two weeks of life. So far most of the day is spent eating, sleeping, and pooping, with periods of alertness and cute squeaking noises as well as tai-chi like exercises. She has been busy growing and regained her birthweight within one week, although her Nana had to get her a few preemie outfits to wear until she grows into her wardrobe. Unfortunately, she already had her first sick appointment at the pediatrician for an eye infection, but a week of eye drops seems to have cleared it. So far she’s been nocturnal, and is not a fan of sleeping in her bassinet at night. Her social schedule included riding in the neighborhood Halloween parade and attending the huge Halloween party. She also went out for lunch at several local eateries while her daddy was home for the first two weeks. She has also been busy meeting family and friends and going for walks in the neighborhood. That’s about it so far…
